I-65 North Near Old Hickory Blvd Shut Down Following Crash

April 15, 2024 – A multi-vehicle crash that resulted in an oil spill closed I-65 near Brentwood on Monday.

It happened just after 11am in the northbound lanes at mile marker 75 near the Old Hickory Blvd exit. Metro Police say two people were injured in the crash and one of the victims is in critical condition.

At 11:35am, authorities allowed traffic to flow in the right shoulder while crews worked to clear the scene. As of 2:45pm, two of the four lanes have reopened.

Crews are still working to clean the spill. Drivers are asked to use an alternative route.
