Tennessee-based Ruby Tuesday announced that it will close 95 under performing restaurants including one located in Williamson County. As of Monday, August, 15th the Brentwood Ruby Tuesday on Franklin Road closed it doors for good, stated management.
As part of a a “fresh start initiative” Ruby Tuesday will close 95 locations across the country – the only one in the Nashville area closing is the Brentwood location.
Consumerist reported that Ruby Tuesday has shown a 5.9 percent decline in the 2016 fiscal year.
“The decision to close restaurants is a difficult but necessary step as we take aggressive actions to strengthen our organization,” JJ Buettgen, Chairman of the Board, President, and CEO of the chain, said in a statement.
Other locations across the country are all expected to close by the end of September. Employees will be given the option to work at other nearby locations.
