Moore Elementary Named Tennessee Reward School

Moore Elementary was one of the schools announced by the Governor as being a Tennessee Reward School. Of the 169 schools on the list only 40 of them made the top 5 percent for both academic achievement and annual growth. Moore is one of those 40, Congratulations!

“We are extremely proud of this extraordinary accomplishment by Moore Elementary,” said FSSD Director of Schools Dr. David Snowden. “Earning Reward School status for both performance and progress is the result of the outstanding work by the faculty, staff and the leadership at Moore. We are also very proud of the students and the parent and community volunteers.”

“The Moore Elementary staff was united in striving to reach our student achievement and growth goals,” said Moore Elementary Principal Lisa Burgin. “Our students took ownership in their progress and monitored their growth throughout the year. We are honored to be a Reward School. I am extremely proud of the MES staff and students.”
