Rippavilla Plantation’s annual wine, antique and artisan market, Vines & Vintage, returns this fall with 15 different wineries from around Tennessee.

At Vines & Vintage, guests are given glasses at the admission booths, which they then may fill up with a variety of whites and reds scattered across booths on the lawn of Rippavilla.

Some of the wines offered at the last event included Hillside Winery’s Black and Blue, DelMonaco Winery’s Jammin Blackberry Port and Amber Falls Winery’s Cabernet Sauvignon.

Damien Boggs 2Vines & Vintage is one of only six state-sanctioned wine festivals in Tennessee, allowing guests to sample and purchase wines by the bottle or case as they would at a vineyard. It is slated for Oct. 29, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

As well as self-guided tours around the grounds of Rippavilla and throughout the plantation house, entertainment will include Columbia folk and blues artist Damien Boggs performing from noon to 3 p.m. and jazz singer Karen Gruber performing from 3-6 p.m. In addition, this year’s event will feature a vintage car show for the first time.

Tickets at the gate are $25 and $10 for designated drivers. Advance tickets for $20 will be available for purchase at a later date. Vines & Vintage is a 21 and older event, and photo ID is required for admission.
