New Life for Thompson’s Station Bring Possible Boom in Area

New life for Thompson’s Station is spurring discussions on a possible Boom for the area. With the reopening of the GM plant in Spring Hill, the Mars Pet Care headquarters relocation, and now Shelter Insurance purchasing over 3 acres for a two story state headquarters in Tollgate Village, the area is primed for progress.

Shelter chose the location due to growth trends and the easy access to I-65 and I-24. Their 3 to 5 million dollar investment in Tollgate Village is only one of the many expansions recently seen in that community. “We believe the whole area is going to be booming very shortly,” said Keith Curd, director of facilities and service for Shelter.

Dock Street Communities has been successful as well in the area with many home sales pending and more expected through the summer. “What they have done in the past year to turn this place around is just awesome,” said Pagen Sherick an onsite Tollgate salesperson for Doc Street.
