On Thursday, word went around from Williamson County School Board member Susan Curlee about some emails from Superintendent Mike Looney talking about the Williamson Strong parent organization. The emails show Looney talking about looking into community groups that support schools.
Curlee expressed intent on a radio talk show on Thursday to push for Looney’s termination, according to an article by the Tennessean.
Last year Curlee brought Williamson Strong to a Tennessee ethics committee, saying they were an unregistered political action committee, a case in which Williamson Strong was asked to pay some fines.
A few hours after Susan Curlee’s social media posts, Looney made a tweet of his own.
Tweet from Superintendent Looney:
My commitment and focus on creating a better tomorrow for students and employees is unshakable. #relentless
