The City of Brentwood has published the results from the Business Survey conducted as part of the update to the Brentwood 2020 Comprehensive Plan. The survey, about four pages in length, was mailed to businesses within Brentwood. The City received 125 responses.

Results from the survey demonstrated a very high level of satisfaction with Brentwood’s public safety services, environment, and parks. A full 98% of businesses responding found Brentwood to be a “very good” or “good” place to conduct business. Major strengths identified for Brentwood were safety, economic base, location, quality of schools, and community character. Respondents to the survey were least satisfied with traffic flow on major streets. Other weakness recognized were housing options for employees, and availability of parking and transit options.
The Business Survey is a companion to two Resident Surveys that have been conducted as part of the 2020 Update. The results from the first survey are available on the website, and the results from the second survey are expected to be available in the near future. The surveys are designed to give City Commissioners and staff insight on the state of the City and the desires of the community for the future. The feedback will be used in the development of policies and priorities that will become the update to the 2020 Plan.
