Week 7 Jack in the Box Athletes of the Week

Thanks to our sponsor, Jack in the Box, each week we give out an award to the best male and female athletes of the week for their on field/court performances the week before.

Week 7’s Jack in the Box Athlete of the Week is:

Catilyn Sutton from Page High School.

Sutton was the District 12 tournament MVP helping her team too victories over CPA and Spring Hill. For Page, it was the first time defeating the Lions since September 11th, 2001 and they had Sutton to thank.

With six minutes to go before PK’s Sutton beat the keeper on a “beautiful goal from a direct free kick.” It would end up being the game winner.

Sutton put two in the back of the net in the District Championship game. Her first tied the game at 1-1. Her second gave the Patriots some breathing room at 3-1.

Week 7’s Jack in the Box Athlete of the Week is:

Jeremiah Oatsvall from Brentwood Academy

The sophomore quarterback led his team to another victory over a nationally ranked opponent when the Eagles took down McCallie on the road last Friday.

Oatsvall got things going with a rushing touchdown that gave his team the lead at 7-3. Jeremiah was called on to make a number of plays for the Eagles in their upset win that makes them the favorite to now win their region.
