A. Marshall Family Foods’s latest concept, Deacon’s New South, will open in downtown Nashville with a soft opening on October 18 with a ribbon cutting on November 1st.
Travis Sparks is the Executive Chef and Jenn McCarthy is the General Manager of the modern Southern restaurant located at the corner of 4th Ave. and Church St. inside the historic Life and Casualty Tower.
We stopped by to take a tour of the latest project, a step into fine dining which is described as elevated casual. Deacon’s New South is located just one block away from Puckett’s Gro. on Church Street in the Business District downtown. This new location will offer diners another option for those looking for an after the Ryman or Bridgestone Arena event. We spoke to Chef Travis Sparks to learn more about his favorite menu item and inspiration for the menu.
We are live at Deacon's New South in Nashville. More food news at williamsonsource.com

Throughout the building, you will find masculine but elegant touches. Kim Leggett of City Farmhouse has been putting the finishing touches on the restaurant. One unique aspect of the restaurant is the wine lockers, which are not available for purchase but will be given to patrons who frequent the restaurant. Hours for Deacon’s New South will include lunch and dinner service. After the ribbon cutting on November 1st, Valet will be provided to diners.
