Saffire Restaurant Closes for Renovations

After 13 years of operations, Tom Morales’ first restaurant in the TomKats Hospitality family, Saffire Restaurant is now temporarily closed to accommodate a renovation, and will reopen on Tuesday, June 30.

The renovations will largely take place in the back of house and kitchen areas, providing a more modern, efficient space with updated equipment. The dining and private dining rooms will maintain their hallmark cozy and eclectic aesthetic with refreshing touches collaborated on with local artist Sheila B.

“The aging infrastructure of the Factory has prompted us to revisit the fundamentals of execution in our kitchen,” said Morales. “We love the aesthetics of the space, and while updating it, the bulk of the work will be behind the scenes where our team preps and supports the front of house. This will translate into a better dining experience for our customers by allowing our chefs to have a more efficient, state-of-the-art work environment.”

Upon reopening, Saffire’s updates will also include new brunch, lunch and dinner menus from Chef de Cuisine Jason LaIacona and TomKats Executive Chef Matt Farley; an updated beer, wine and cocktail list; and a special sushi menu offered on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights created by sister property Acme Feed & Seed’s premier sushi chefs. The oyster happy hour will also be extended to six days week, Tuesdays through Sundays from 3:00 – 6:00 p.m., offering $2/each and $20/dozen raw oyster selections.
