The Middle Tennessee Genealogical Society, Tennessee Historical Society, and Brentwood Historic Commission will sponsor an all- day seminar on Nov. 19 called Judgement, War, Taxes and Tales: A Day Among the Records.
There will be four speakers to fill the day with information about ancestral records that many people might not be aware that exist. The speakers and their topics are:
- Stories from the Stacks – Gordon Belt
- Moonshiners and Horse Thieves: Ancestors in TN Supreme Court Records – Chuck Sherrill
- Gold Star Records from World War I – Allison Griffey
- You Can’t Evade Taxes…At Least Not in Genealogy – Jim Long
The program will conclude with a Q & A with the panel of presenters.
Doors will open at for registration. The seminar begins at a.m. and will conclude at 4 p.m.
Location: Brentwood Public Library, 8109 Concord Road, Brentwood, TN 37027 ( just east of I-65).
