Lots of excitement this week at Fairview Elementary School! On January 22, FES held their 3rd annual spelling bee. This year’s winner was 5th grader Ethan West. The runner up was 3rd grader Kaylee Quant. Both students showed some awesome spelling skills and competed head to head for several rounds.
The early childhood classes at FES are learning all about balls. They are measuring the circumference and diameter of various balls. Then they will get their brain into experiment mode when they have to make predictions about which size balls will go faster down a ramp. Fun stuff!.
Bonita Smith and Robbie Buttrey were voted to be the FES certified and classified teachers of the year! Ms. Smith has taught gym at FES for many years and helps FES to run smoothly while Ms. Buttrey assists many teachers and pitches in wherever she is needed. These ladies are two awesome examples of the great staff at FES!
