The month of April is a designated Brentwood Beautification month, when neighborhoods are encouraged to clean up their yards, streets, entryways, and public areas. Large item pick-up and Adopt-A- Mile are two programs the City provides to assist residents in this endeavor.
For residents who have items too large to discard with their solid waste provider, convenient drop-off sites are provided between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. as follows:
April 18 Granny White Park – 610 Granny White Pike
April 25 Safety Center East – 1300 Sunset Road
May 2 Granny White Park – 610 Granny White Pike
The City cannot accept liquids, sprays, paints, batteries, tires or chippings. However, household hazardous waste items can be taken to Franklin Solid Waste Station, 417 Century Court, Franklin, 615-790-5848.
Recycling is available by visiting the Williamson County recycling convenience center located next to Brentwood Fire Station #2, 1301 Wilson Pike. Hours are 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
In addition to the above, the Adopt-A-Mile program is also prepared to help residents spruce-up the city. This program encourages organizations, businesses and individuals to adopt a mile of Brentwood roadside to keep litter-free. The City furnishes safety vests, trash bags, and metal road signs to recognize the adopter of the mile.
