Puckett’s Celebrates 10 Years with Andy Marshall Roast

Friends, family and customers of Puckett’s Restaurant are invited to celebrate 10 wonderful years in downtown Franklin on Thursday, Dec. 18, with a special night of throwback menu items, live music—and a roast of Andy Marshall, owner of A. Marshall Family Foods Inc.

The evening will begin at 6:30 p.m. with a prix-fixe menu of Puckett’s classics that customers will remember from the early days, such as baked tilapia with pecan and tomato sauce, smoked baby back ribs, chicken ambassador, peach cobbler, cinnamon roll bread pudding and chocolate chess pie.

Once supper is served, the tables will be turned as owner Andy Marshall—the king of BBQ and of ribbing—will be the one roasted, with a bit of toasting included, too. Speakers will include a lineup of notable community members, from U.S. Congressman Marsha Blackburn and Commissioner of Transpiration John Schroer to Williamson County and Franklin Mayors Rogers Anderson and Ken Moore, respectively.

The lively evening will be emceed by Harry Chapman, and will conclude with performances by songwriters who’ve played at Puckett’s for years.

Tickets are $100 and include supper and the show. Proceeds from the ticket sales will benefit the Heritage Foundation of Franklin & Williamson County’s initiative to restore the Old, Old Jail. Marshall is a Heritage Foundation board member. To purchase tickets, call 615.794.5527.
