Dropping the Puck: First Week Standings
Fall Sports are winding down and temperatures are doing the same thing. Time for hockey! Williamson County schools that have hockey clubs started playing games a little more than a week ago.
Here is how local teams are doing early in the season:
In the Gold League Ravenwood (4-0-0) is in first place, with 8 points. The Raptors lead all Greater Nashville Scholastic Hockey League with 29 goals scored and have had the second least number of goals scored against them, with 6.
Brentwood (3-1-1) is third, with 6 points. Father Ryan (0-4-0) is in eighth place.
In the Blue League, Lipscomb-Brentwood Academy (4-0-0) is in first, with 8 points. Li-Bra has scored 21 goals so far, third most in GNASH, and has allowed the least goals, with 5.
Franklin (3-1-0) is in second with 6 points.
Centennial (2-2-0) is in fourth place, just ahead of Independence-Summit (1-3-0).
Leaders
Matthew Chalkley, for Brentwood, and Sean Hagen, for Li-Bra, share first place in points with 14.
Chalkley is third overall in goals with 8. Hagan leads GNASH in assists with 9.

On Friday night:
Ravenwood scored league-high for this season 12 goals in a 12-2 win against Father Ryan.
Li-Bra beat Indy-Summit 5-1. Brentwood dropped Pope John Paul II 5-1, too. Hume Fogg-Page lost 6-2 to Blackman-Stewarts Creek.
On Wednesday night:
Father Ryan lost to Hendersonville 7-4. HF-Page lost to Indy-Summit 6-4. Franklin beat Centennial 6-4.
