Ravenwood, with Jeffries Running, Shuts Out Overton
In the second round of the TSSAA Class 6A playoffs on Friday night, the Ravenwood Raptors (11-1) ripped Overton apart, winning 35-0.

Connor Jeffries, leading a dominant Raptor run game, scored two first-quarter touchdowns while Overton (7-5), gaining just 120 yards of total offense, turned the ball over five times (3 fumbles, 2 INTs).
Ravenwood, beating Overton for the second time this year, moves on to the quarterfinals and will host White Station (9-3) this Friday.

Jeffries, with 18 carries for 104 of the Raptors 263 rushing yards, scored on 15-and-3-yard runs in the first quarter that put Overton in a 14-0 hole.
In the second quarter Carter Nelson scored to secure a 21-0 halftime Ravenwood lead.
Jordan Moore and Chris Rowland, who gained more than 100 yards from scrimmage (66 rushing, 49 receiving on 10 touches), both ran in touchdowns in the second half to ice the game.
Raptors Quarterback Andrew Rappe threw 5 for 12 for 68 yards and added 75 yards on 11 carries.
Ravenwood held Overton to 31 yards threw the air and 89 yards on the ground. The Raptors put up 330 yards of offense,
No. 2 seed White Station, after beating McGavock on Friday 37-36, will be the Raptors toughest playoff opponent yet this postseason, as the 6A playoff field is down to 8 teams. Last week Ravenwood beat Bartlett 52-7 in round one.
