Heylee B. Opens in New Location

Heylee B

Moving in what seems like a flash- Heylee B moved from their Main Street location in downtown Franklin to their new W. Main location nestled in between Seersucker Candy Company and Sweet Cece’s. Heylee B sells trendy women’s clothing, accessories and cosmetics.

“What more could I ask for in our new location,” said store owner Heylee Achten, ” I’ve got Starbucks, Frothy Monkey, and Sweet Cece’s within a short walking distance!”

“It’s really great to feel more closely connected to Main Street with our new location. Our move came so quickly, we had been talking to several different places and when the owner – Donna Bishop of Foyers and Beyond had been thinking of moving, it just worked out perfectly. ”

Their new location, which they flipped in just one week, is double the size of their original store, giving more room for Heylee B ‘s private label make-up line. For those not familiar with Heylee, she has an impressive resume, working as a hair and make-up artist for  “The Tyra Banks Show” and “America’s Next Top Model.”

A popular feature at Heylee B’s was a unique art installation that looked like a wall of books. This art piece has found a home in the new location.

“Everyone loved the book wall and would always ask to take pictures, but now I’ve moved it in the new store to better location for photos,” said Heylee. “I wish I could tell you there was a special meaning but really it’s just an art installation that seems to work.”

We visited with Heylee a few days after the new store was open and found her putting the finishing touches on the store, telling us the project was a family affair. Together, they worked on renovating the space in an “industrial” style, they built more clothing racks and an impressive art installation you’ll want to see for yourself.

Even though the temperatures outside are still in the  90s, the store is filled with fall favorites including tunics, dresses and sweaters.

The most popular item on Heylee’s shelves right now are skinny jeans.

“Our high-waisted skinny jeans are our biggest sellers,” said Heylee. “These jeans are so comfortable that when I travel, I will reach for my jeans instead of leggings or sweatpants. They come in different washes and have this amazing stretch to them.”

Be sure to stop by and visit Heylee B in their  new location at 502 West Main Street. New store hours are Monday- Saturday 10am -8pm, Sunday 12 – 6pm.  Follow them on Facebook for the latest updates and offerings.  Visit Heylee B online where you can book make-up services with Heylee, attend a make-up class or one of their DIY girls night out seminars. The next one is in September, where you can make your own bath bomb.

Check back for more updates as there are more announcements to come regarding a couple of new downtown Franklin merchants who will be located in the old firehall space. Home decor and clothing boutique, The House of Belonging, who once had a space in The Factory, will soon occupy one of the spaces in the old firehall, but it has yet been announced who will occupy the other space.
