The Robertson family has two pieces of news to announce!
First, the Robertson family is growing by one more member.
Sunday afternoon, Korie Robertson announced on Instagram they were adding a son to their family.
“We’ve had lots of questions about the cute kid popping up in our photos lately. We are excited to be in the process of adopting a new son!” wrote Korie. “He’s been with us since May, but we wanted some privacy and time for him and our family to bond before telling the world (It’s a bit of an adjustment coming into this big, crazy family, ha,).”
“He’s amazing, and we are all so thrilled to have another kid around the house,” Willie Robertson’s wife continued. “Couldn’t keep the good news to ourselves any longer! We appreciate your prayers and support for our family! Love, The Robertson’s.”
Second piece of news-Daughter Rebecca Lo Robertson got engaged!
The Robertson daughter announced her engagement to boyfriend John Reed Loflin.
Rebecca – who was born in Taiwan and now runs the flagship Duck & Dressing store in Monroe, Louisiana – joined the Robertson family in 2004 at age 16 after coming to the United States as a foreign exchange student. Now she is Willie and Korie Robertson’s foster daughter and one of the couple’s five children. She met John Reed on Halloween at the 2014 Voodoo Fest in New Orleans, and the two have been together ever since, reports ET.
Reed proposed to Robertson in Florida on the beach after looking for seashells.“He got on his knee, pulled the ring out and said, ‘I wanna spend the rest of my life with you. Will you spend the rest of your life with me?’” she continued. “Then I said yes! I cried, and he said he teared up ‘a little.’”
Korie Robertson posted on her Instagram,”Tonight we oohed and aawed over the ring, swooned over the proposal story, talked wedding dreams, and welcomed new family. Going to bed with a full heart (and a full tummy”).
We first met the Robertson family on their reality show Duck Dynasty which airs on A&E. Duck Dynasty returns for a new season on January 6th, 8pm central.
