Brentwood Academy seniors Sarah Bryant and Kennedy Jarvis have been named National Merit Scholarship finalists in an academic competition which started with over 1.6 million high school students world-wide taking the PSAT examination. Of those students, only 15,000 have earned the designation of finalist. Both are now qualified to compete for corporate, college, and NMS scholarships.

Sarah serves as editor of BA’s literary magazine, Flight. She participates in Youth Legislature, the Student Leadership Team, Model United Nations, Athletes and the concert band. Sarah has been a part of the Big Sister program, attended Girls State and is a pianist having studied at Blair School of Music and with private instructors.

Kennedy has served on the Student Leadership Team, is captain of the soccer team, is a Big Sister, and a member of the Flight staff. She is active in Young Life and is an Admission Ambassador. Kennedy is the owner of her own business, Kennedy’s Cookies, a business she began in 2015.

Scholarship notifications will be made to finalists later this spring.
