The Battle of Franklin Trust is hosting a monthly hands-on program for children 5-10 years of age at the Carter House and Carnton Plantation. This month’s lesson covered dress during the 1860’s.
August 15th will be about old time toys.
September 15th is all about food.
October lets you frolic through the Carnton Pumpkin Patch!
November 3rd is the 147th Anniversary of the Battle of Franklin.
Bring your children out to explore life as it was. Show them the history that created their fine county and the cities it supports. The last session of the year is December 15th and covers Christmas traditions of the era with Christmas in Carrie’s Attic. There will even be a reading of “The Night Before Christmas” where decorations will be made.
