Biscuit Love Franklin Now Open

Biscuit Love

Downtown Franklin gained a new restaurant as Biscuit Love opened its doors to the community on Thursday, Feb. 1.

“It’s like a homecoming,” said Franklin resident/owner Sarah Worley. A homecoming in more than one way. Worley moved to Franklin in 1998 and along with her husband Karl began the Biscuit Love food truck. They opened their first brick-and-mortar location in the Gulch area of Nashville in 2015 and a second Nashville location in the Hillsboro Village neighborhood last summer.

The Worley’s have brought their biscuit business back to Franklin, opening in the building formerly occupied by Lillie Belle’s, a tea room Sarah remembers visiting with her mother.

The process of opening the Franklin location in the Victorian home had its challenges as the home didn’t have a full kitchen or sprinkler system.

Those who have visited Biscuit Love in Nashville will be happy to know that the Franklin menu is the same. You’ll find fan favorites like Bonuts, fried biscuit dough topped with lemon mascarpone served with blueberry compote and East Nasty, a buttermilk biscuit with fried boneless chicken, aged cheddar and sausage gravy.

On tap, there are seven different beers and a selection of cocktails like “The Bloody” which is their version of a Bloody Mary and “Surprise Me”, which contains bourbon, magnolia, citrus, and bitters.

As with their other location, you walk in and place your order at the counter and then select your seating. This location will be open seven days a week from 7 a – 3 p. Currently, there is seating inside but as the weather warms there will be community tables along with a few smaller tables available outside for seating under the large tree making it a picturesque destination for lunch on a spring or fall day.

Biscuit Love is located at 132 3rd Avenue, Franklin. Visit their Facebook page for more information.
