Berry Farms Animal Hospital, at 5021 Hughes Crossing next to Publix, is getting ready for its grand  opening on March 3.

It is the first companion animal hospital owned and operated by the team at Tennessee Equine Hospital, a local equestrian veterinary hospital located in Thompson’s Station. dr-mitchTennessee Equine Hospital has been caring for the horses of the local and regional community for over 25 years and partnered with local, small animal veterinarian Dr. Mitch Mckee, who has over 15 years of experience in the local community, to open this small animal hospital focused on the needs of family pets.

The hospital has the latest medical and surgical technology to provide hospitalization, digital radiography, ultrasonography, laboratory services and an in-house pharmacy, but it also will focus on alternative and complementary medicines such as herbal medicine, medical acupuncture and food therapy.

“We offer complete veterinary care for companion animals,” McKee said. “We want to be part of the local community by providing services focused on promoting healthy lifestyles for their family pets.”

Other services include general wellness, dentistry and grooming.

Dr. Mitch and his talented team of compassionate doctors and staff are very excited about joining the growing businesses at Berry Farms and getting to know the Berry Farms and South Franklin residents. “Berry Farms is a beautiful, unique area with quality residents and businesses. We have a focus on providing top-of-the-line care for the four-legged family members here.  We love the convenient location and the pet-friendly atmosphere in this rapidly developing community near our parent hospital in Thompson’s Station.”

Come out and meet Dr. McKee and staff for their Open House and Ribbon Cutting on Friday, March 3 from 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. (Ribbon Cutting is at 4:30).  The official first day will be March 1.

Hospital hours will be: Monday-Friday 7:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m., Saturday 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.  After hours on call as needed.
