3 Upcoming Strawberry Festivals

It’s that time of year—strawberry festival time. Every May, Tennesseans enjoy ripe strawberries from local farms served up at several farmer’s markets across the area. Here are 3 upcoming Strawberry Festivals in Williamson County.

1. Franklin Farmer’s Market
The 5th annual Franklin Farmers Market Strawberry Festival gets underway Saturday, May 16th beginning at 8am. It’s a fun celebration for the entire family with music, kids’ games, and plenty of delicious fresh strawberries grown on Middle Tennessee farms.

Mouthwatering homemade strawberry shortcakes, made by Norton Family Farm will be available. Topped with sweet berries from the farms of the market and a dollop of Hatcher Family Dairy whipped cream, the shortcakes are a festival favorite. Proceeds from the shortcake sales benefit the Franklin Farmers Market and the Franklin Farmers Market Educational Foundation. The Franklin Farmers Market is a non-profit agricultural organization dedicated to keeping Tennessee farms growing.

2. Nolensville Farmer’s Market
Farmers and craft-makers in Nolensville are set up next to the new recreation center every Saturday for their weekly Market. They will celebrate their Strawberry Festival on Sat, May 16th with lots of fun for the whole family.

The Nolensville Farmers Market had its beginnings last year once a local doctor, Miro Bandalo, wanted his patients to have more local food options. This year over 30 vendors selling things from fresh produce to candles will set up from 8 a.m. until noon every Saturday until October at 7248 Nolensville Rd.
