9. It Used to Have a Movie Theater

Before Carmike came to Williamson County, a small, original-wave movie theater could be found in Brentwood.

The Brentwood Cinema was located in Brentwood Place, where Nordstrom Rack now is located on 330 Franklin Road.

The tri-plex (three screen) theater opened on December 16, 1983 as Brentwood’s first and only movie theater.

It only stayed in business for a few years, and was demolished by the ’90s to make way for the Brentwood Plaza Shopping Centre.
