WCS Hosts Bullying Prevention Workshops

Williamson County Schools will host a series of events to promote awareness around bullying prevention and to share best practices for prevention with parents and interested community members.

Rodger Dinwiddie, Executive Director of STARS Nashville, will be the featured speaker for each of these events. In addition to heading STARS, Dinwiddie also serves as President of the International Bullying Prevention Association.

The International Bullying Prevention Association is a tax-exempt charitable organization. The IBPA is to support and enhance quality research based bullying prevention principles and best practices in order to achieve a safe school climate, healthy work environment, good citizenship and civic responsibility. Parents and community members are invited to attend any of the scheduled events below. A workshop in the Brentwood area is in the planning stages. Information about this workshop will be forthcoming. Scheduled workshops include:

January 20: 6:30 – 7:30 p.m. at Fairview High School
January 22: 6:30 – 7:30 p.m. at Franklin High School
February 12: 6:30 – 7: 30 p.m. at Summit High School
