Jason McConnell is a well know name in the culinary world that surrounds Franklin. For years he has been providing restaurants and delicacies that delight us all. For Nashville Originals Restaurant Week, he has two places open and participating that you must go visit. Red Pony and 55 South are both waiting with specials that will quickly convince you to be a repeat customer.
Red Pony and 55 South are both located on 400 block of Main Street in Downtown Franklin. These two establishments offer an array of taste temptations to delight everyone in the family. If comfort food is your thing, stop into 55 South and take a look at this week’s Nashville Originals special. For only $20.13 you get three courses that begin with chips & dip or fried pickles, Jambalaya or brisket tacos, and a choice of dessert from the messy Sundae or the coconut pie.
At Red Pony, the food is a bit more upscale and the special for the occasion is three courses for only $30.13. For the first course enjoy an Antipasti salad or BLT flatbread pizza. Grilled chicken or shrimp & grits are next in the choices you have to pick from. We know it is really hard to pass up the shrimp & grits but the grilled Springer Mountain chicken is amazing. The final course is Peaches & Cream or the “Top Notch” Crème Brulee.
Tell us what your favorite was from both restaurants after you have your nap to think about the wonderful meals!
