For the third straight year, Tennessee Soccer Club will host their 24-Hour Soccer-A-Thon from February 23rd to 24th at the Robert A. Ring Indoor Arena in Franklin. This event allows players and coaches to raise donations for Tennessee Soccer Club and Special Olympics TN’s sports programs. The goal for Tennessee Soccer Club is to surpass last year’s $35,000 donation amount.
This event is an annual fundraiser for TSC and Special Olympics TN with teams at every level of Tennessee Soccer Club from U7 through U19 teams. During the 24-hour period, teams will play during designated times. Donations will go to Tennessee Soccer Club’s Futures Fund, which has been created to enhance the offerings of the club namely through field development.
“The Soccer-A-Thon has been a huge success in its first two years and we are hopeful to raise more donations this year,” said TSC Event Coordinator Jimmy Drain. “Special Olympics TN is a great partner for TSC and we love raising awareness for both organizations with this fundraiser. Seeing our players and coaches working with the Special Olympics athletes is really an impactful moment and it drives TSC to work harder each day. I’m very excited to see our TSC community respond to the event this year and know we will continue to grow the youth soccer community awareness in Middle TN.”
The fundraising will continue for Tennessee Soccer Club through March 5th. Tennessee Soccer Club is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization and all donations are tax deductible.
