McAlister’s Deli is a great place for lunch or dinner, offering a huge variety of hot and cold sandwiches, soups, salads, spuds and desserts.
Their sandwich options are endless, from a New Orleans Muffuletta to Harvest Chicken Salad to a Spicy Southwest Chicken Griller. You can also go with a Deli Classic and choose your own deli meat, bread, veggies, dressings and cheese. Some personal favorites of mine are the Memphian—roast beef, black forest ham, smoked turkey, provolone, lettuce, tomatoes, lite mayo and spicy brown mustard on a wheat hoagie and the Orange Cranberry Club—smoked turkey, black forest ham, applewood bacon, sharp cheddar, swiss, lettuce, tomatoes, orange cranberry sauce, lite mayo on harvest wheat bread.
You’ve never had a baked potato like the potatoes served at McAlister’s. You might think of a baked potato as a side item. Not so at McAlister’s. Their spuds are huge and brimming with toppings. Try the Black Angus Roast Beef Spud, covered in roast beef, caramelized onions, cheddar-jack cheese and au jus or the Spud Max, with black forest ham, butterball smoked turkey, applewood smoked bacon, cheddar-jack cheese, green onions, black olives and sour cream. Now that’s a lot of toppings! Don’t worry if you’re not a meat lover, they’ve got a much tamer, but still very delicious, Veggie Spud, topped with onions, peppers, tomatoes, olives and mozzarella.
Their soups, which can be served in a bread bowl, are perfect for rainy days. Their featured soups are written on the menu board and may change from season to season. I love their chicken tortilla soup, which has just the right amount of spice to warm you up on a rainy or cold day.
The kids’ menu has lots of great items for the little ones in your family. Kids can choose from items like Mac & Cheese, PB & J, Cheese Pita Pizza or even a Garden Salad.
Make sure to order sweet tea with your meal, as their signature sweet tea is absolutely delicious. In fact, I’ve driven to McAlister’s simply to order tea! Their tea is made with pure cane sugar, no high fructose corn syrup and is made with a black tea blend. It is brewed fresh every day.
