The buzz around Nashville on Monday was something you could feel and that energy completely made its way into Bridgestone Arena for game three between the Predators and Blackhawks. Then that intensity hit an all-time high as Carrie Underwood came out and surprised everyone by singing the National Anthem before puck drop.
All of that energy vanished however…but then it came back, oh did it come back.
The Predators found themselves in a 2-0 hole in the second period, but clawed their way back to tie it late in the third frame. Then, overtime came around, and just after midnight in Nashville the Predators magic came alive as Kevin Fiala scored the game-winning goal to give Nashville a 3-0 series lead.
