As we prepare for New Year’s Eve, this is a friendly reminder that due to safety concerns and fire hazards, consumer fireworks, including sparklers and sky lanterns, are illegal in the City of Franklin.
Franklin’s 1999 ordinance banning fireworks allows enforcement by the Franklin Police and Fire Departments. Violators may face fines, and may be held liable for damages.
