OBITUARY OUTSIDE FLOWERS

Jan Morris Williams, age 74 of Thompson Station, TN passed away September 10, 2019.

Born in Trimble, Tennessee to the late Ray and Margaret Cook Morris. She received her Bachelors Degree from Grand Canyon University. She was the owner and operator of Jan Williams School of Music which was established in 1984 in Brentwood, TN. There she taught and directed a staff of teachers in piano, voice, guitar, percussion and children’s musical theatre. She was the pianist and organist for sixteen years with Christ Church Nashville. In her career, she has done several recording sessions. She has accompanied an impressive list of performers.

Today, heaven’s choir is much sweeter. Jan will be sadly missed by all. Survived by: husband, George D. Williams; son, Jonathan D. (Rachel) Williams; daughter, Jana R. (Mike) Wilson; grandchildren, Gavin, Daxton and Macie Williams, Byron and Adelyn Wilson; brother, Vernon R. (Gayla) Morris; brothers in law and sisters in law, Kenneth (Dixie) Williams, Sue (Melvin) Folmar, Cecil Williams, Linda Robertson and Steve (Janet) Williams.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 PM, Saturday, September 14, 2019 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, Ron Becton officiating. Interment Christ Church Memorial Gardens. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Teachers and Students of Jan Williams School of Music.
