WATCH: Nikki Lane Performs Newly Released Album at Music City Roots

Nikki Lane is emerging as a singer/songwriter to watch. Her newest album Highway Queen was released on Feb 17th and critics say the 10-song set sees the young Nashville rebel emerge as one of Outlaw Country and rock’s most gifted songwriters.

If the name Nikki Lane sounds familiar, you might have seen her perform at the inaugural Pilgrimage Festival in Franklin. On Wednesday night, Lane returned to Franklin to perform the fourth track from Highway Queen “Jackpot” at Music City Roots in The Factory at Franklin. Lane’s “Jackpot” is about a Vegas bender.  See the video above of her performance.

Lane, a Greenville, South Carolina native is also a fashion entrepreneur as the owner of the popular vintage clothing boutique High Class Hillbilly. She has lived  in – Los Angeles, New York and Nashville, so it’s no surprise that her music seamlessly crosses musical genres with lyrics steeped in the doomed perseverance only a true dark horse romantic knows.  Follow Nikki Lane on Facebook for the latest updates.

Highway Queen features the Texas Gentlemen as her band and blends potent lyrics, unbridled blues guitars and vintage Sixties country-pop swagger.
