Brentwood residents have another option for filling their sweet tooth with the opening of family owned “Momma Nik’s Cheesecake.” Open for the past three weeks, the public is invited to the official ribbon cutting on July 29th from 4 – 6 p.m., located at 7024 Church Street East, Brentwood, behind Royal Flair.

Owners Niki and Craig Gilliam are Brentwood residents who have three children. Niki from Greek origins, grew up baking alongside her mother. When Niki’s children began school she began baking for others and people loved what they tasted.

“Growing up and eventually working side by side with my mother, we were always referred to as “Big Niki” and “Little Niki”. As everyone knows, most women do not like to be called  “Big” anything!  As a result, my husband was actually the one who dubbed my mother “Momma Nik.
