Prom is just around the corner. We’ve shown you our tips on how to pick out the perfect tux, trends for prom dresses this season, but now to the most important part of the evening…Prom Dinner.
Here is all you need to know to help you navigate dinner before prom this year.
Keep it Clean—We like barbecue just as much as any other southerner but it just doesn’t look so great on your tux or prom dress. Stay away from messy foods that could cause a major prom disaster. You don’t want to be that person taking pictures at prom with the big grease spot on your outfit.
Make it Special—Here is your opportunity to try out a new restaurant. Not your typical teen hang out spot.
Communication is Key—Tell your date where you want to eat. Questions you may want to ask your date are do you have a food allergy or is there somewhere you have wanted to try? All of things need to be communicated with your date.
Make a Reservation— There are a couple of weekends this spring in which multiple schools will hold prom on the same day. To ensure you will be able to eat before prom, make that reservation before you end up in a drive-thru.
Remember Where You Are—Make your manners match your outfit. Prom is a very exciting time, so don’t be that group of teens in a restaurant who are loud and obnoxious. Also, remember to tip your server as they work hard to make your evening enjoyable.
And if you need some suggestions on where to eat for Prom, here are our favorite picks this season.
