With a mid-October opening date set, Deacon’s New South is continuing to hire hosts, bartenders, servers and server assistants, porters, dishwashers and line cooks to round out its team. The new restaurant in the downtown Nashville business district continues its job fair, encouraging interested parties to come by the restaurant on Monday, Sept. 25 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m and Tuesday, Sept. 26 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Deacon’s New South is located inside the historic Life and Casualty Tower at 401 Church Street and will feature a creative, chef-driven menu with a focus on high-quality cuts of meat and an extensive wine selection. The restaurant’s exposed wood-fire grill and prominent dry-aging room will be key visual elements, in addition to the art-deco influences inspired by details in the original space, like brass countertops and railings.
Billed as a modern and eclectic, Southern steakhouse concept, Deacon’s split-level design will also include two bars and a lounge that can be reserved for business lunches, private dinners and events.
Applicants should bring a current resume and valid photo I.D. to the job fair. For those who are unable to attend the hiring event, applications can be completed online at http://amarshallfamilyfoods.com/apply/.
