Building Bridges Through Art

Make time to visit the “Building Bridges Through Art” exhibition at CharacterEyes Boutique, on Church Street in Franklin this month. Throughout the month of October the gallery will feature artist and instructor Gail McDaniel and 9 of her students. The presentation benefits the Bridges Domestic Violence Center.

A reception and silent auction will take place on Saturday, October 12th from 6-9 p.m. You can view the exhibit from 8:30-5:30 Monday – Friday and 11-3 on Saturday. Paintings by McDaniel and student artists Chris Burns of Nashville; Linda Curb of Nashville; Judy Howell of Columbia; GiGi Mallory of Brentwood; Vikki Nordstrom of Nashville; Billie J. Osborne of Whites Creek; Iris Rotker of Franklin; Terri Tyler of Nashville; and Sandy Weddle of Nashville will all be on display.

Various watercolor techniques have been used to display animals, landscapes, people and more. Proceeds from the art sales will benefit the Bridges Domestic Violence Center in Franklin. Each artist has designated at least one piece for the center where 100 percent of the sale goes to Bridges. “Building Bridges Through Art” is part of an ongoing series of exhibitions established by CharacterEYES Eyecare and Optical.
