On January 11 at 3:00 PM CT, the historic Franklin Theatre will host the premiere of “Run Community,” the debut feature documentary by local filmmaker AJ Johnson. This highly anticipated 71-minute film showcases the power of human connection through the inspiring stories of 30 local residents who have discovered hope and healing through running together.
“Run Community” highlights the triumphs and challenges of individuals who have found strength, purpose, and camaraderie within their running community. With the tagline “Hope and healing are found in community,” the film’s heartfelt message resonates far beyond the world of running, making it a must-see for audiences of all kinds.
Directed by AJ Johnson, edited by Benton Sherman, and featuring an original score by Mark Burch, the film captures the stories of a diverse group of Franklin and Brentwood locals. Among the featured stars are Seth Oden, Sr., Jill Mongene, Alicia Barker, Suzanne London, C Michelle Singleton, Leslie Ragan, Karen Austin, Ken Youngstead, Shara Carter, Leigh Anne Duvall, Abby McVey, Siddhartha “Sid” Karnati, Ninette Chapman, Keith Chapman, and many others.
