Battle of Triune This Weekend April 27-28

Nearly 150 years after its bloody hours, the Battle of Triune will come alive this Saturday and Sunday on property in the King’s Chapel community. The public is invited to watch Civil War re-enactors demonstrate what both civilian and soldier life was like in Williamson County during the 19th century. A large crowd is anticipated at the re-enactment to watch the cavalry and small arms demonstrations.

A makeshift village setting will be constructed with civilian camps set up on Saturday. A historical church service will be held Sunday morning. Franklin on Foot’s Maggie Thessin will speak about the wars impact on children at Noon on Saturday. She recently published a book called “Lizzie’s War” about the subject.

The event runs from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. each day. The Kings’ Chapel community is at 4980 Meadowbrook Boulevard, Arrington, TN 37014 off Highway 96. Tickets are only $5 per day or $8 for the weekend. Children 6 and under are free.
