Leadership Franklin awarded two $1,500 scholarships to 2012 graduates from Battle Ground Academy. Congratulations to Lindsey Sloan Landrum and Ellen Elizabeth Williams the worthy recipients. Landrum is going to the University of Mississippi and Williams will attend Sanford University.

“Leadership Franklin is very proud to award these scholarships to Lindsey and Ellen who have demonstrated their commitment to excellence and to their community,” said Paula Harris, executive director of Leadership Franklin. Leadership Franklin Alumni made the scholarships possible and they have raised more than $4,000 for future awards.
Applicants for the award were required to have a minimum 2.7 GPA, and submit a 200 word essay answering the question, “What are my goals for the next five years?” A combination of scholarship application points, community involvement and quality of the essay were used to pick the finalists.
