1. Arbor Day Celebration

WHAT: Join the Arbor Day celebration where winners of the poster, writing, photography and video contests will be announced in the Children’s Library in the story time room. Activities include: free tree seedlings, guess the Acorns contest (win a tree) and giveaways from REI. Browse displays by certified arborists and other tree-related vendors. Face painting and other activities for children and free hotdogs.

2. Laura’s Custom Cookies – Kid’s Cookie Workshop

WHAT: Kids will learn to decorate simple Easter theme designs. We’ll use basics of decorating techniques, outlining, flooding, wet-on-wet, wet-on-dry, and marbling techniques. Purchase your ticket to the class here.

• The cookies will be baked and ready to decorate.
• Kids will receive a copy of icing and dough recipes.
• Kids will decorate 6 cookies and 2 practice cookies.
• All supplies will be provided
A decorating starter kit will be available for purchase after class. It includes 6 cookies shapes from class, icing mix, scribe tool used in class, piping bags and sanding sugar – $25/plus tax.

3. Owl’s Hill Wildflower Hike

WHAT: The wildflowers are blooming: Spring is here. Come enjoy all the colors this season offers and hike the trails of Owl’s Hill. Watch the browns of winter give way to the spectrum of spring while we look for Blue-eyed Mary, Dutchman’s Britches, and Spring Beauty. This is an adult only hike. Cost of the guided hike is $12, register here.

4. Christian Worldview Film Festival

WHAT: The 5th annual Christian Film Festival and Guild with over 60 films to be screened and over 40 film-related workshops presented will take place in Franklin, TN. Special guest speakers include Stephen and Alex Kendrick (War Room, Courageous), Bruce Marchiano, Beverly Holloway, Paul Mills, and more. This is a family-friendly event, so come join us and see some great films and meet some of the filmmakers. Purchase day passes to the event for $15 here.

5. Main Street Brewfest

WHAT: The Downtown Franklin Association will host its popular Main Street Brewfest on St. Patrick’s Day (March 17) this year, and with the luck of the Irish, guests will have the opportunity to participate in more than 50 tastings with more than 70 craft beers. The annual festival is presented by Lipman Brothers and hosted in Historic Downtown Franklin in the Public Square.Tickets for Main Street Brewfest are now on sale online.
