Round 1 Volleyball Quarterfinals
Franklin began the day with a 9:30 a.m. match , and in game 1 jumped out to an early lead in the first match, but after a Bearden timeout, they stormed back to win the first. Despite a nice third match win , Franklin drops 3-1 in the first round of the Class AAA State Championships in Round 1. Franklin moves on to the bottom side of the bracket to take on White Station, a 3-0 loser to Siegel .
Page moved on to take on Sullivan South a 3-0 winner over Hume-Fogg.

The defending State Champs found no stumbling blocks in Ooltewah. They moved on to play a familiar foe :Farragut.
And then while Father Ryan struggled with Briarcrest (Ryan would move on to the bottom bracket to play St. Agnes) .. 
MTSU had a power outage causing delays and games to be moved to new courts. Later , much later on that afternoon round one play would resume leading us into the second Quarterfinal round.
Volleyball Quarterfinals -Round 2
2 teams facing elimination from the area and a power outage causing delays and venue changes, made for an interesting day at Road to the TSSAA Volleyball Champiopnship. Here’s how it all looked after the dust settled Wednesday evening:
Father Ryan starts the evening and goes down 2 sets to St. Agnes but battles back to win 3 straight! The Irish will take on the loser of Baylor and Briarcrest Thursday in another elimination game at MTSU at 2:30 p.m.
Page finally played at around 7:30 and dropped 3 close sets to Sullivan South. Page will play at 11:30 a.m. at Siegel HS against Dyersburg (3-2 winner in a game that ended at 11:30 p.m.) in an elimination game.
Franklin stays alive by winning their elimination game in a thrilling 5 set victory. The Lady Rebels will play Farragut at Blackman High School at 10:00 a.m. in another elimination game.
And Brentwood escapes day one unscathed. The Bruins face Siegel at 1:00. Winner goes to the Finals. The game will be played at Blackman High School.
