Titans Mock Draft Pick

For the last several Monday’s, readers here at the Source have been reading about Titan departures and free agent signings.

Today we look at the potential new draft pick according to NFL.com.

The Titans will have the eleventh pick on May 8th’s Draft and the experts at NFL.com are split between Tennessee getting outside line backer Anthony Barr or Cornerback Justin Gilbert.

Barr is a 6’5″ running back turned linebacker out of UCLA. Barr is known for his explosive speed and ran a 4.66 40-yard dash in the combine. Many of NFL’s scouts believe that Barr would really succeed in Ray Horton’s defense.

The AFC is full of talented receivers, so Ken Whisenhunt and company might look to pick up a talented corner. Gilbert is a 6 foot, 202 pound corner out of Oklahoma State. Another guy with good speed and agility, he ran a 4.37 forty. Last season with the OK State Cowboys he picked off seven passes and returned two of those for six.

Looking at this, you could expect the Titans to go with defense. We’ll see if these mock drafts change any over the next few weeks and keep you updated on Williamson Counties favorite NFL team.
