American Idol Alumni, Colton Dixon got married on Friday night in Nashville, reports People magazine. Colton married longtime girlfriend Anne Coggeshall and was brought to tears as she walked down the aisle.
Dixon said, “She was glowing and it was unbelievable how beautiful she was,” Dixon, 24, recalled. “I absolutely lost it. Audible tears. And I’m not a good-looking crier either!”
Other details of the ceremony included Dixon singing to his bride the Elvis song “I Can’t Help Falling in Love with You.” The whole family was involved as his uncle played the piano and sister Schyler sang “How Great Thou Art” as the couple lit the unity candle.
It was an intimate affair at Scarritt Bennett Center with 160 guests in attendance. Reception followed at Nashville’s Bell Tower.
Steven Curtis Chapman made an appearance at the reception performing his song “Cinderella” for the father-daughter dance.”That’s something my dad and I will never forget,” Coggeshall said.
The couple will honeymoon in Tahiti and then begin their life as a married couple in Nashville.
