On Wednesday evening, Reese Witherspoon hosted friends and the local community of her hometown of Nashville for a special celebration in honor of Draper James’ first brick and mortar store. Draper James’ mission is to bring contemporary, yet timeless Southern style to your wardrobe and your home.
Guests were invited to shop Draper James’ offerings of fashion, accessories and home décor, with the crowd spilling over into the store’s back parking lot, which was transformed into a Southern-style soiree. And there to celebrate the flagship Draper James store were local celebrities, Faith Hill, Cam, Reba McEntire, Sheryl Crow, Nashville Mayor Megan Barry, Kacey Musgraves, Jessi Alexander, and Lily Aldridge. Attendees enjoyed a southern-inspired menu, including shrimp and grits, biscuits and mini mac n’ cheese, as they welcomed Draper James to the 12South neighborhood. Cocktails flowed as the bar poured guests’ choice of signature Sweet Tea & Tito’s Handmade Vodka and Chandon Sparkling Wine cocktails topped with an orange peel twist.
The night was topped off with special country performances by Lee Ann Womack and Ruby Amanfu, which had the crowd singing along and embracing their Southern pride.
