Thursday, February 21st Puckett’s Grocery and Restaurant is holding a job fair to fill more than 70 positions. This will be a three day fair at the new location at 15 Public Square in Columbia on Thursday & Friday from 9-Noon and 2-6; and Saturday 9-1. Positions available include managers, bartenders, servers, hosts, line cooks, bus persons and dishwashers.
“We have been overwhelmed by the response of the community, and we’re excited to see that enthusiasm carry over into our talent search this week,” said Director of Operations Claire Marshall Crowell. “We’re a family-owned business that focuses on treating customers like friends. We’ve been fortunate to find employees with a servant’s heart at our other locations, and we’ll be looking for personalities that fit the Puckett’s personality.”
This is the fourth location for the Marshall family, owners of the Puckett’s chain of restaurants. The downtown Columbia location will be the flagship for Puckett’s Creamery, an ice cream shop that will offer hand-churned product next door to the restaurant. Puckett’s Columbia will also house a second-story event center, which will accommodate up to 400 people.
Puckett’s Columbia will begin serving food in mid-March. It will be open Tuesday through Saturday for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and Sunday and Monday for breakfast and lunch.
