Kenny Chesney Announces New Tour

Just as Kenny Chesney ends his summer tour he announces another one.  And with this new announcement, we all just got a little more excited about his next tour.  Chesney announced that Miranda Lambert will be out on the road with him in 2016. Note that will be two CMA Entertainer of the Year nominees in one tour.

“People count on having a great day when they come out to see us,” Kenny explains. “And I think it’s important that we give them the best show we can from the moment they hit the gate until the final encore song’s been played.”

“Miranda is the real deal,” Kenny says. “She’s a songwriter, first, and a real vocalist. She’s puts it all out there when she’s on stage, and I loved touring with her so much in 2009, I can’t believe it’s taken us this long to get her back out here – because I love every single thing about who she is as an artist and a person.”

In addition to Miranda Lambert, Sam Hunt and Old Dominion will also be added to the line-up.

Eric Church Exhibit Opens at CMHOF

The Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum will explore the life and career of this year’s top CMA Awards nominee Eric Church in the exhibition Eric Church: Inside the Outsider, which opens September 18, 2015, and runs through February 2016.

With hits such as “Springsteen” and “Talladega,” Platinum albums Chief and The Outsiders, and multiple ACM and CMA Awards, Church maintains an authenticity that resonates deeply with fans. His musical hybrid incorporates influences ranging from Merle Haggard to Metallica, breaking down genre barriers.

“Eric Church is a risk-taker who has blurred genre lines and created a sound that is as unique as he is,” says Senior Vice President of Museum Services Carolyn Tate. “We are excited to offer museum guests a peek behind his trademark aviators for a look ‘inside the outsider.’”

The exhibition will examine the North Carolina native’s path to stardom, with stage wear, guitars, song manuscripts, photos and more from his personal collection. Church has loaned the museum a wealth of artifacts to represent his life and career.

Chris Young Goes Global

British Country Music Award International Act of the Year Chris Young has quickly become an international ambassador for Country Music as he returns to Europe for his “I’m Comin’ Over” World Tour. Young, “one of country music’s most reliable hitmakers,” (USA Today) is headlining nine sold-out shows in England, Germany, Ireland, Scotland, Sweden and Switzerland through September 24. Earlier this year he played to audiences in Australia, South Korea and Japan.

This is my third year of touring overseas and the audiences blow me away every time,” declares Young. “That being said, the sold out crowd at the O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire in London last night was absolutely one of the best crowds I’ve ever played for! They packed the house and sang along and just have this love for country music – it’s mind-blowing!”

Chris returns to the US at the end of the month where he’ll headline the hometown “I’m Comin’ Over” World Tour stop at Nashville’s new Ascend Amphitheater on September 30.
