Hockey: GNASH Postseason Begins Wednesday

Postseason hockey begins Wednesday for area teams as the Greater Nashville Area Scholastic Hockey league breaks into the Predators Cup and Henry Hine Cup tournaments.

Brentwood looks to be a slight favorite for the Preds Cup tournament after winning the GNASH Cup for finishing as the top team during division play.

Ravenwood is in the running as well, finishing two points behind Brentwood for the GNASH Cup and finishing Tier play two points ahead of the Bruins.

Along with the Bruins and Raptors, Montgomery Bell Academy, Father Ryan, Hendersonville, Pope John Paul II-Goodpasture, Tennessee Outlaws, and Centennial will be battling for the Preds Cup.

For the Hine Cup, Ensworth-FRA narrowly edged Blackman-Stewarts Creek and Franklin-Oakland for the top seed in division play.

Anything can happen in the tournament though as, with Mt. Juliet-Wilson Central and Lipscomb-Brentwood Academy, the top five teams were separated by only two points.
