Franklin Special School District Now Part of Ridesharing Program

The TMA Group’s Clean Air Partnership in collaboration with Franklin Special School District is expanding the School Pool is Cool program. This innovative program, starting in August 2018, will now serve Franklin Intermediate, Freedom Middle, Poplar Grove Elementary and Poplar Grove Middle Schools.

“School Pool is Cool is a free interactive, online ridematching community that connects parents of children attending these schools who are looking to share driving duties to and from school, as well as other after-school activities,” states Chase Harper, TMA Business Development & Rideshare Services Administrator.

The program helps families manage school transportation and work schedules; saves time and money; and reduces traffic congestion around school pick-up and drop-off areas. School Pool is Cool is an easy, secure, and convenient way for parents to organize neighborhood carpools. Parents register online at the password protected site, enter their commute, and the system connects the parents.

“We value greatly Dr. David Snowden and Franklin Special School District’s support of expanding this program. With the school year starting in less than a month, we feel the School Pool is Cool program will benefit each participating school community.” Says Debbie Henry, TMA Executive Director.
