Former Titan Opens L&L Hawaiian Grill

L&L Hawaiian Grill

Former Titan offensive lineman, Eugene Amano, is opening a fifth location of L&L Hawaiian Grill in Cool Springs.

This will be the first location in the middle Tennessee area with the other four locations in the San Diego area reports News Channel 2.

Amano admits entrepreneur was not his dream when he entered the NFL in 2004, saying, “When I first started playing football, I thought I’d play football forever, but obviously that’s not the case, and so, so this whole thing has been great so far and I love the challenge. It’s something that gets me going throughout the day.”

Amano’s brother Fred ran the first four restaurants in San Diego but has moved to Middle Tennessee to help launch their newest franchises. He loves the way things have timed out.

“We wanted to bring this out to Nashville for years. So the fact that we are doing it now is great timing and with the addition of Marcus Mariota going to the Titans you couldn’t ask for a better way to bring Hawaii to Tennessee,” he said.

The brothers already have plans to give away an autographed Marcus Mariota jersey, and one of their biggest fans is current Titan Brian Schwenke, who hails from California.

There are almost 200 L&L franchises worldwide and most are on the West Coast. This is the first L&L in the Nashville area, but it will not be the last. They have plans to open at least two more.
