Jack in the Box Road to the Blue Cross Bowl : Week 3

It’s Here!!!!! Week 3 of the Playoffs and possibly the last time we’ll see 2 teams play against each other for awhile in class 6A. More on that and what else is happening around the mid-state in tonight’s action:

Div II Class A :

  • One team left from Williamson County and it’s a strong 9-2 BGA football team who has to go on the road to 7-4 St. George’s (I just report it, I don’t make the rules), for a chance to go the the State Championship. The winner will take on the winner of ECS (9-2) and Knox Webb (8-3) .

Div. II Class AA:

  • One team left from the area here and it’s Ensworth. Ensworth (9-1) will host 8-3 MUS who knocked Brentwood Academy out last week 30-28. The winner heads to State championship to face the winner of Baylor and 9-2 MBA.

Class 3A:

  • It’s 11-0 CPA hosting 8-3 Lipscomb in the Quarterfinals. CPA rolled past Westmoreland while Lipscomb Academy (8-3) pulled an upset over White House Heritage. The winner of this moves on to the Semis and will play on the road against  the winner of (8-3) Hickman County against (8-3) Milan.

Class 6A: JACK IN THE BOX GOTW

  • In what could possibly be the last time we see Centennial v. Ravenwood in football, due to re-classification and re-alignment, this one has all the ingredients for an instant classic. Not only will 2 of the loudest, rowdiest student bodies be clashing , tonights matchup promises to be hard hitting. On Oct. 3rd it was all Ravenwood 24-0 to hand Centennial it’s first lost of the season. Since then Ravenwood still hasn’t lost and the Cougars had to rebound after a tough Franklin loss at home to beat the Rebels the following week and advance.  The winner advances to go on the road to take on the winner of unbeaten Whitehaven and 9-2 Arlington.

Watch tomorrow morning for complete results and video from Centennial and Ravenwood. For all scores follow us @williamsonsrc or listen to 1045 the Zone.
